Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Utilities is a community-owned enterprise with a 100 year reputation of excellence. As a pioneer in providing four utility services (electric, gas, water, and wastewater) in one enterprise, Colorado Springs Utilities cultivates a work culture dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and work-life balance.
As a locally-owned, not-for-profit utility, we are solely focused on meeting the needs of our friends and neighbors. Community ownership means making investments in the place we call home. It means employees volunteering their personal time for local causes. It means hometown service. Most of all, it means giving our citizen-owners a voice in decisions and control of one of the best utilities in the nation.
We believe our employees are the most important investment for success. Our comprehensive compensation and benefits programs reflect our belief. Our goal is to attract, retain, and reward employees who are responsible for the organization's long-term sustainability. You can read more about our compensation and benefits here.
To be successful in today’s business world, it’s more important than ever to have a workforce that spans cultures, races, religions, gender and backgrounds. All cultures and backgrounds have something to contribute to our community. At Colorado Springs Utilities, our inclusive culture is defined by our six core values: Safety, People, Trust, Responsibility, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement.
It is everyone's responsibility to make a personal decision to take accountability for diversity. Look for it and embrace it when you find it. Take time to deliberately recognize the uniqueness of others and celebrate it. Our differences make us richer. Learning and growing from one another makes us more than what we were. If we can be more for ourselves, we can be more for our customers. We can connect on many different levels, establish relationships and add a little value to everything we touch. We will foster inclusiveness and energize each other as we lead by example in all of our interactions.
Recipient of the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award and the State of Colorado Pro Patria award, Colorado Springs Utilities walks the talk when it comes to demonstrating its commitment to our military service men and women. We provide full support to military leaves of absence and employee deployment.
Colorado Springs Utilities also works closely with our local military installations supporting those transitioning to civilian employment. This includes regularly participating on employer panels to provide assistance, coaching and mentoring to those transitioning from the military to civilian employment.
