Description

The person in this position works independently to service commercial Access Control, CCTV/DVR, Intrusion Detection, Intercom, Security, and Infant Protection Systems.  A positive attitude to provide exceptional customer satisfaction and a proven ability to produce high quality results is required. Other responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Perform regularly scheduled Preventative Maintenance as scheduled by the Security Service Department.
  • Perform emergency service calls as needed.
  • Thoroughly testing repairs and documenting test results to meet unique customer requirements.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot large, campus-type IP-based integrated security systems.
  • Make corrections in field, if required, to ensure proper functionality and provide feedback to the Security Service Department of problem identified.
  • Suggest opportunities for improvements and upgrades at customer sites.
  • Availability to work overtime to meet customer requirements.
  • Availability to work “On Call” shifts throughout the year.
  • Operating a company vehicle in accordance with company safety guidelines.

Requirements



  • Formal Electronics Education. Minimum of current enrollment in an electronics Training Program, but an Associate Degree is preferred.


  • Once hired, will require placement in IBEW Local 134 as a Maintenance Electrician (B-Card).


  • Requires use of hand tools, provided by employee.


  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.


  • Experience and proficiency in the use and application of personal computers, including all Microsoft Office products, and basic networking skills.


  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment, such as digital multimeters and cable fault finders.


  • Willingness to learn, flexibility of schedule.


  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.


  • Must be able to work from ladder, lift, or bucket truck to perform duties.


  • Must have valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.


  • Possession of a current PERC Card is a plus.


  • Product certifications a plus!

    • Access Control:  Andover Continuum, RS2, Software House


    • HUGs Infant Protection Systems
