Description
Position manages small team with responsibilities over multiple regions for all transmission issues for current generation protfolio as well as development opportunities. Member of the internal Rick Committee for evaluation of development opportunities. Present and update Sr. Management of all transmission issues in regions of responsibility. Perform and coordinate all activities involving proposals, negotiations, contract documents, tariffs and other legal proceeding related to transmission, interchange sales and purchases, interconnections, and transmission services with nationwide entities. Assist Business Management and Development with any commercial activities related to transmission. In depth knowledge of market, transmission, and reliability initiatives within regions of responsibility. Assure uniformity and consistency in the policies of contracts relating to transmission activities by conducting the discussions, negotiations, development and interpretations of terms and conditions of contracts, as assigned. Act as interface or contact to nationwide transmission entities, by addressing issues, providing information or resolving problems. Monitor contracts adherence of other entities under transmission arrangements and initiate corrective actions when required. Assist in legal proceedings relating to transmission agreements and relationships, including coordination with legal counsel and the preparations of testimony.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Master's degree preferred.
* MUST have experience in transmission analysis using PSS/E or equivalent, and a working knowledge of electrical transmission system issues including FERC regulations, Open Access Transmission Tariffs, and ISO and RTO transmission and interconnection strategies.
