Panasonic North America is seeking to hire a full time Marketing Manager, Digital Platform within the Interactive Content & Services Department located in Secaucus, NJ.
Basic Functions:
* Use marketing skills and technologies to develop and implement a web or interactive strategy to reach online customers and prospects or internal audiences.
* Drive an intuitive, engaging, relevant and integrated online experience that drives revenues and leads while increasing customer loyalty and building stronger customer.
* Manage editorial strategies and content of online properties (portals), as well as applying new technologies such as online marketing, personalization, search engine marketing and optimization, advertising placement strategies.
* Focus may be global, national, regional, sub-regional or local in scope.
* Ensure online experience align with Panasonic''s brand identity and messaging framework.
* Marketing Manager to own development of Micro site/home page, Control Panel, Social Media venues, community/developer forums, etc.
* Must be a self starter, and comfortable in a Start-Up environment.
Accountabilities:
* Develop and implement content and merchandise strategies for e-commerce
* Champion and drive adoption of web 2.0 strategies and methods
* Improve interactive and web marketing efficiencies through process, tools and collaboration
* Create a world-class interactive/web marketing cost structure, operations and execution quality
* Set or lead interactive/web strategies, policies, standards and direction across the business or company
* Design and deliver interactive/web experiences that result in significant and measurable improvements in understanding, conversion and revenue
* Contribute to the development and adoption of innovative interactive/web principles and ideas across the business or company
* Expected to contribute as a senior business leader, proactively counseling senior-level management on critical interactive/web marketing elements
* Select, manage, develop and motivate business partners
* Expert knowledge in interactive marketing, web marketing and/or ecommerce
* Proven experience leading, driving and measuring teams toward common goal
* High levels of tact and diplomacy
* Fine-tuned consultative skills
* Agency and budget management
* Excellent writing, editing and oral communications skills
* Ability to interact with all levels
Qualifications
MANAGEMENT:
This employee will manage domain co-workers, shared services counterparts, and external strategic partners and content providers.
COMMUNICATIONS: (key communications contacts and level of persuasion required)
The key communication contacts for this position include:
* Domain personnel, sales team, Strategic content partners, developers and retail partners
* A high level of persuasion is required to be effective with all of these groups
* Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
PROBLEM-SOLVING:(complexity of problems, creativity and other problem-solving requirements)
Problem solving in this position is very complex. Frequently this employee will be asked to stretch limited resources to accomplish a task. Strong entrepreneurial skills and creative thinking are a must.
KNOW-HOW: (education, experience and or knowledge requirements)
* Self Starter with 10+ years of software, Web 2.0 marketing and media experience
* Bachelor''s in business or marketing, MBA preferred
* Very strong written communication skills
* Willing to travel 40%
