Lets Get to Work.DescriptionCH2M HILL Warehouseman Jobs - Tucson, AZThe challenge? Manage the equipment and materials required to help provide and sustain clean water resources around the world. Our   Equipment and Materials Management Careers provide you with the opportunity to work alongside engineers in the water industry and serve the strategic and operational needs of our clients in Tucson, Arizona. As a Warehouseman, for a wastewater treatment project, you will assist the Warehouse Manager with project equipment, receiving schedules, delivery times, transport, and verification of 24 hour vendor notification. You will also coordinate with the General Superintendent and Safety Manager for pick plan development. You should have a 1 year of mechanical and piping construction experience, and a desire to grow both personally as well as professionally with each construction job. Our Warehousemen:Verify weights of equipment or materials prior to arrival at site
Verify shipping tickets match purchase order bill of materials
Arrange off-loading of equipment with the properly sized lifting equipment
Contact the appropriate Division Project Engineer and notify of equipment arrival
Inspect equipment for damage with the Division Project Engineer
Sign off on delivery tickets
Develop lay-down area(s) grid plan for purchased equipment and subcontractor materials
Maintain and adjust grid plan as necessary and as conditions and quantities change
Coordinate with subcontractors on lay-down requirements
Develop facilities staging areas for subcontractor materials and purchased equipment
Ensure subcontractor pick plans have been developed prior to unloading or loading their materials
Place equipment in correct lay-down grid, protecting and storing per vendor recommendations
Direct removal of equipment from lay-down area by installing subcontractor and ensure properly executed turnover paperwork is received from subcontractor
Update equipment receiving logs and schedules, posting to SharePoint daily   
Deliver hard copy transport paperwork to appropriate office personnel

Additional Information:This position will be at construction site and work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime. This is a project hire and the estimated duration is July 2011 through April 2014.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Basic QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent

1 year of mechanical and piping construction experience
