Description
Job Summary:
Defines technology system scope, objectives, and requirements, and is a top-level technical expert in development skills capable of tuning programs for processing efficiency.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
* Create system designs to facilitate the inter-operability of large-scale business systems.
* Research, analyze, and define business solutions of large systems scope and complexity. Prepare detailed specifications for large complex projects and design solutions for complex business problems.
* Document test cases, expected test results, test data requirements, and collaborate with testing teams and business partners to resolve testing problems.
* Code, debug, test and support utilities, tools, and frameworks to support the application development process.
* Provide leadership and technical direction to team members and monitor the deliverables of the technical team.
* Serve as technical point of contact for business partners and other technology areas; and perform project management tasks as needed.
* Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree required from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related major field of study
* 6 or more years of experience required in Software Applications Design and Development
*
6 or more years of experience required developing applications in JSF 1.1 and/or JSF 1.2 formats
*
6 or more years of experience required developing JSF applications using Facelets
*
6 or more years of programming experience required with JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, JSF, and JSP
*
6 or more years of experience required working with J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) methodology (JSF/AJAX/JavaScript)
*
6 or more years of programming experience required with HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and XML (Extensible Markup Language)
*
6 or more years of experience required utilizing software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
*
6 or more years of experience required with SOA (service-oriented architecture)
Equivalent Minimum Qualifications:
* High School diploma/GED or Associates degree from an accredited institution required
* 8 or more years of experience required in Software Applications Design and Development
*
6 or more years of experience required developing applications in JSF 1.1 and/or JSF 1.2 formats
*
6 or more years of experience required developing JSF applications using Facelets
*
6 or more years of programming experience required with JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, JSF, and JSP
*
6 or more years of experience required working with J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) methodology (JSF/AJAX/JavaScript)
*
6 or more years of programming experience required with HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and XML (Extensible Markup Language)

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to meeting the above qualifications, any of the following are preferred:
* Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology AND 8 or more years of experience in Software Applications Design and Development
* Experience developing Web services
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of a wide range of technical systems or expertise in a more narrow range
* Knowledge of C# knowledge

Knowledge of Infragistics for C#
* Knowledge of Java 1.5+
*
Knowledge of Oracle database management system (DBMS) and PL/SQL
*
Knowledge of multiple business functional / technical areas
*
Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application

Knowledge of Websphere 6.1+
*
Knowledge of RAD (Rational Application Developer) application development skills or other eclipse based tool
*
Knowledge of Rational Version control tools (ClearCase/ClearQuest)
*
Knowledge of change management processes
*
Knowledge of Rational ClearQuest for approving and tracking production changes
*
Knowledge of SERENA ChangeMan utility on the mainframe
*
Microsoft Office skills

Programming skills

Ability to use multiple tools and techniques to facilitate the design, development, and integration of business systems

Ability to develop increasingly complex business systems

Ability to contingency plan, analyze systems for efficiencies, and develop test case scenarios

* Work hours may vary in length and schedule (may include a nonstandard workweek).
