DuPont is currently looking for a motivated, self-starting individual who has crop protection sales / marketing / management experience to join the organization as a Six.Sigma Black Belt trainee to be located in California. The primary function of this role is to execute the US Crop Protection Strategy via leading and implementing numerous Six Sigma sales and marketing projects. Experience in California agriculture is highly valued.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver results and drive changes that are critical to our customers' success.
* Lead the implementation of marketing and sales projects (new product launches, generic defense, market share growth, expansion to new market spaces, pricing improvement, selling process improvement, etc) in Crop Protection using Six Sigma methodology .
* Work with all levels of the Crop Protection organization to complete projects that deliver measurable benefits to improve business performance.
* Ensure responsibilities and controls are in place to sustain improvements.
* Work at the intersection of marketing and sales - key account managers, area sales managers and portfolio managers to support and help crystalize strategy and tactics for business and customer success
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree in Agriculture or related discipline
* Green or Black Belt Certification a plus
* Ability to lead change and deliver results
* Effective communication skills
* Leadership capability and the ability to coach, influence and negotiate.
* Demonstrated teamwork and networking skills
* Effective time management skills and ability to work independently.
* Innovation and creativity in problem solving and ability to apply proven methodologies.
* Sensitivity for dynamic market and business needs, ability to recognize opportunities for business and process improvement.

Familiarity with agriculture markets and business.
Additional Information: Black belts must complete 1 week of marketing and sales training, when they will learn about strategic marketing planning process, pricing, market survey, product launch tools and methodology, customer segmentation and targeting, etc and 3 weeks of Six sigma methodology and project management training and be able to very quickly learn and apply the learnings to assigned projects.
