Description
Performs professional accounting duties and analysis of financial data in support of various accounting functions within the Corporate Finance & Accounting department with an emphasis on fixed assets, intangible assets and lease accounting. Other responsibilities include general accounting activities not exclusive of the review of accounts payable transactions, administration of the accounting activities related to the fleet vehicle program, prepaid expenses and the corporate insurance program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or Finance
- One to three years of experience within one or more areas of professional accounting with the demonstrated ability to apply accounting theory, principles and techniques preferred.
- Prior experience with the administration fixed asset and lease accounting is a plus.
- Previous experience with the financial and accounting aspects of ERP systems (PeopleSoft preferred).
- Strong computing skills with proficiency in the MicroSoft Office suite of products required.
- Commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company''s Code of Business Conduct and other Company policies and procedures.
- Applies consistency to company policies and procedures applicable to day-to-day assignments and insight into understanding the underlying purpose of the task in addition to its strict completion.
- Desire and commitment to participating in an active team environment, with the willingness to assume additional roles and duties.
- Able to meet assigned deadlines as dictated by management consistently.
- Focus on attention to detail, quality work product and process-oriented thinking; evidencing solid organization and project planning skills.
- Resolves problems, discrepancies and variances, identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Clear and effective communication with solid written, verbal, presentation and listening skills.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
