LOCATION WILL BE IN CHARLOTTE NC
Assists in ongoing development of BD&S strategies, processes, tools and other changes needed to support success within a rapidly changing organization and environment by maximizing convergence of experience, knowledge and organizational skills to support internal and external client data mining and analysis needs (writing queries, extracting raw data, merging, connecting, manipulating data, etc.) Help support other Analysts with technical development and specific projects, including support as primary go-to person for help/training with SAS programming. Assists in all financial aspects of the Revenue Cycle initiatives of Business Development and Sales. Financial aspects may include extraction of data, creation of reports, and evaluation of information as well as making recommendations for improvement or next steps related to: Negotiations with payors ;Performance monitoring ;Competitive Intelligence; Billing and collections ;Revenue budget preparation; Pricing Strategy improvements and changes. Must have strong analytical skills, good organization and communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects to meet aggressive deadlines. Graduate of an accredited program. Bachelors degree in business/computer science/finance/accounting or related field. Masters strongly preferred. Work experience may be substituted for Masters. SAS certifications is preferred â?? programming, Enterprise Guide, etc. Work experience may be substituted. WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years experience in healthcare required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines required. SAS programming and MS Excel spreadsheet with superior data manipulation skills and ability to understand and interpret healthcare data required. Excellent analytical skills required with advanced technical skills. Ability to be flexible and adapt to quickly changing priorities is critical. Good communication skills is required and ability to interact with all levels. Current Procedural Terminology (CPT4) coding, DRGs, Clinical Modification (ICD9 CM) coding, International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, CCS some knowledge is required. Knowledge of risk and non-risk reimbursement methodologies for hospitals and physicians is preferred.
