Position Description:
NextEra Energy is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to support the functional day to day transactions of the company. This position is located in Juno Beach, FL and will report through accounting in the NextEra Energy Resources organization.
The position will:
· Perform a variety of accounting functions in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, or related financial area in various areas of the company.
· Process complex accounting data, requiring the exercise of judgment and analysis.
· Apply advanced bookkeeping accounting principles in the performance of daily responsibilities.
· Prepare master data forms (SAP).
Conduct special projects and analysis as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications
* Good communication skills, oral and written, good record keeping and organization skills are needed.
* Detail Oriented.
* Two year Associate Degree in Accounting is preferred.
* High School / GED required.
* 3 - 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
* Proficient in Excel.
* SAP knowledge is a plus.
* Local candidates preferred
