Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C. (PRD), one of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting for a Senior Medical Writing Scientist located in Titusville, NJ.
Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C. develops treatments that improve the health and lifestyles of people worldwide. Research and development areas encompass novel targets in neurological disorders, gastroenterology, oncology, infectious disease, diabetes, hematology, metabolic disorders, immunologic disorders, and reproductive medicine.
The Senior Medical Writing Scientist is responsible for the preparation of clinical study reports, integrated summaries of efficacy and safety, protocols, investigator brochures, and other documents necessary for domestic and international regulatory submissions to the U.S., European, and other regulatory agencies. The documents must be of high quality in terms of scientific content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format, and consistency, and must adhere to regulatory guidelines and company guidelines/styles/processes.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor''s degree in biological or medical sciences required, an advanced degree (M.S. /Ph.D.) is highly preferred. Strong scientific/medical writing skills including the ability to interpret and organize scientific data is required. Must possess a minimum of 3 years medical, scientific or healthcare writing experience. Some research experience (including compilation of research reports or publications) in the pharmaceutical industry, or as part of a Ph.D., Pharm.D., or postdoctoral program, preferred. Also preferred is a thorough knowledge of experimental design; working knowledge of biostatistics; proficiency in computer word processing programs; knowledge of standard editorial/style conventions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a plus as the individual must be able to work in a team environment and coordinate with the team to move documents forward to completion. This position will be located in Titusville, NJ.
