Job Description: Financial Writer
Summary:
Capital One is required to be Basel II compliant in the future. The Basel II Project Management Office has been created to enable this compliance. The PMO is looking for individuals from within Capital One who would be involved in the Risk Weighted Asset Calculator project. The overall duration of this project is likely to be two to three years.
Responsibilities:
-Develop project related documents including business requirements
-Edit documents prepared by other team members
-Participate in implementation of the Basel II RWA calculator (system)
-Maintain all organizational and professional ethical standards
-Work independently under general supervision, with latitude for initiative and independent judgment
Skills:
-Ability to write financial annual reports, 10-K and 10-Q filingsProficient in Plain EnglishAbility to understand financial and risk related termsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Qualifications
Education/Credentials
A. Years of Experience
- 2 or more years of full-time experience in preparing annual reports, SEC filings or other reporting
B. Education
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience required.
C. Certification (Preferred but not required)
- Financial certification
