Description

Amazon is looking for an experienced business analyst to support relationships with publishers as they add content selection to Kindle.  This individual will be an important team member contributing to customer experience of Kindle. This role will have a mix of long term strategic projects and short term tactical tasks. Key responsibilities include:

* Pull and synthesize data and conduct complex business analyses that drive strategic decisions.
* Build metrics that drive new selection and key business indicators thus helping Kindle stay ahead of competition.
* Tracking current selection and reporting new selection to senior management in the weekly and monthly business reviews.
* Lead small projects by driving business requirements and coordinating with technical and project management teams.
* Help identify and drive improvements in automation/metrics.
* Perform in-depth analysis in identifying the root cause of key business issues.
* Work cross functionally with teams like Content Demand, Finance etc in successful completion of projects.

Basic Qualifications

Qualifications:

* BA/ BS Required
* Minimum 3 years of Analytics experience required.
* Expertise in MS Excel and Access required

* MBA preferred
* Experience in SQL and/or other relational databases.
* The ideal candidate has strong analytical abilities and business acumen.
* Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
* Candidate must be an effective written and verbal communicator and should be comfortable explaining numbers to senior management.
* Ability to identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiencies of existing systems and processes.
* Knowledge of the publishing industry is a bonus.
