Description
Co-Op/Intern Position to assist with engineering functions in the Hope Creek Engineering Department. The co-op's assignments will be supervised by the Plant, Design or Programs Engineering Branch Manager and will support other Engineers in these disciplines. Job functions include assisting with identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability. Support Engineers with monitoring, trending and assessing of systems and components to improve reliability. Assist in engineering evaluation of ideas and research of questions in specialty areas. Assist Engineers with system performance for designated systems. Support cross-functional teams to manage/resolve system performance issues. Perform system walk downs.~~ REQUIRED: For co-ops: At least one (1) year of college in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Engineering Science. A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and personal transportation are also required. For interns: At least two (2) years of college in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Engineering Science.
