Summary
As a member of the Celgene HR team you will be responsible to assist employees by explaining benefit plans and procedures both individually and in larger group discussions in addition to interpreting contents of Plans which include group health and welfare plans such as medical, dental, prescription drug, life insurance (basic and voluntary) short term, and long term disability, as well as other benefit programs including 401(k) retirement plans, executive and voluntary benefits. You will also serve as the primary contact for all employees regarding benefit & retirement plan inquiries. In addition you will be responsible for coordinating and participating in the annual open enrollment process, benefit health fairs, wellness events and blood drives as well as provide other related support as needed / requested.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.  Responding to employee benefit inquiries and functioning as the informational resource for
benefits and programs

2.  Working in conjunction with service providers to resolve employee issues

3.  Supporting the development of the content for any benefit enrollment materials, facts sheets
confirmation statements and SPDs ensuring their accuracy and consistency across all
plans

4.  Ensuring compliance both in terms of operation and documentation relative to all plans
including but not limited to coordination and review of all 5500 filing information, preparation
of SOPs for all benefit plans, securing accurate benefit plan contracts and service
agreements for all plans and ensuring weekly review / resolution of any edit errors
generated based on data transmission to our insurance vendors

5.  Identifying and coordinating any updates to the open enrollment tool (currently SmartBen) in
preparation for annual employee elections; Ensuring any required updates and
enhancements to the benefit website facilitating employee access to educational materials
and other benefit information

6.  Preparing reports on benefits related topics

7.  Generating statistical analysis to illustrate information concerning items such as
participation rates and usage and preparing related quarterly benefit plan assessment
summaries for management; coordinate quarterly vendor presentations in support of this
initiative and to identify best practice to promote best in class both operationally and from a
competitive/market perspective

Skills/Knowledge Required:

?  Knowledge and understanding of all facets of employee benefit plans.

?  Knowledge of benefit policies, practices, common exclusions or exceptions, limitations and
applicable laws.

?  Proven track record for demonstrating effective teamwork a must; Ability to work in tandem to
achieve desired / successful results required.

?  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills,
including demonstrated ability to: problem solve, communicate effectively, handle multiple
tasks simultaneously and set goals and enforce deadlines while maintaining flexibility to
reassess and prioritize goals.

?  In-depth Self starter with excellent analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills.

?  Computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office applications, web-enabled HR information
systems and employee self-service applications.

?  High standard of customer service.

?  Three or more years of relevant experience, with at least 3-5 years of analytical benefits
experience.

?  Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) a plus.

?  Technical knowledge of benefits programs and plans.

?  Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
