Description
The individual will be responsible for one of the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) products in the HP Software portfolio. He/she will own the definition, management and delivery of the product through the entire product lifecycle.
Success in the role will depend on developing a deep understanding of the market and establishing key relationships with customers. The individual will define and prioritize future product requirements with RnD and enable the sales & pre-sales organizations to effectively position the solution in the market.
The role will include business and technical presentations to customers with up to 30% travel.
Qualifications
Industry/Product Knowledge:
* Understanding of enterprise software market, with IT as the target customer.
* Experience with Agile software delivery, including continuous integration and continuous delivery.
* Experience in delivering subscription based software in a multi-tenant hosting model.
* Required experience within the Software Space focusing in Enterprise Environment.
* Understanding of the Software life cycles, launching, managing, expanding, etc..
Product Management Experience:
Ability to contribute to defining a strategic vision and to articulate it in front of a variety of audiences.
* Ability to perform market analysis and competitive analysis and define product requirements, product release plans, and technical demos.
* Ability to work effectively with R&D to manage the product through the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch and maintenance.
* Ability to clearly articulate and present the product value proposition internally and externally with customers and partners.
* Ability to communicate at varying levels of technical detail with customers, partners, marketing, sales, support, services and R&D, in one-on-one and group situations
General Skills:
* Excellent organization and project management skills, with attention to detail.
* Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated and team-oriented, able to multi-task and work both autonomously and effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and establish credibility with customers, prospects, analysts, sales, R&D, and the management team.
