Position Desription:
Strong delivery leader for a group of Program and Project managers assigned to a portfolio of business applications (also plays these roles: Assumes PM/PgM role when necessary & backfills Applications Development Leader''s role when required.
Qualifications:
1. 4 year college degree in IT, MIS, information systems, project mangement, or other related fields. Graduate degree a plus.
2. Project management certification a plus
3. Experience in managing projects invovling infrastruture and/or familiarity with datacenter operations( hsoting, engineering, netwrok, storage, etc.) is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities
Program manager responsibilities include planning, governance, alignment, assurance, management, integration, optimization, tracking, and finances.
· Program Managers are responsible for governance, which involves working with the overarching structure, processes and procedures to accomplish objectives, which include metrics of success and deliverables.
· Alignment entails top-down vision, goals and objectives from business strategy flowing through to successful completion of projects for program objectives.
· Assurance includes checks and balances for compliance with standards and vision alignment.
· Management involves regular reviews for accountability and successful management of project, stakeholders and suppliers.
Program Manger must be able to step in and take responsibility for delivering a project when necessary. Project Management responsibilities include:
· Project Integration Management including development of the project charter, project plan, directing and managing project execution, change management, and project closure
· Project scope management
· Project schedule management
· Project cost and budget management
· Project quality management
· Project human resource management
· Project communications management
· Project risk Management
· Project procurement management
In addition, the Program Manager:
· Works with Project and Program Managers to review Financials, track delivery, report metrics, and making sure commitments are held.
· Manages and mentors project team members. Mediates & drives consensus on difficult topics.
Required Skills & Experience
· Must have at least 10 years of Project and Program Management experience in business application custom development and package implementations
· Must have strong understanding of the Program and Project management processes.
· Must have current appropriate certifications (e.g. PMP, PgMP)
· Must have strong communication skills and should be able to motivate his team
· Strong budget management experience and analytical skills
· Must have demonstrated strong leadership skills
· Must have strong organization, presentation and customer satisfaction skills.
· College degree in IT and related fields required
· Senior level IT and Management Consulting experience is a plus
