Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient/family experience through utilization of critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment/knowledge/skills.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education/ including Licensure/ Certification/ Registration:
Current licensure California RN or Interim Permitee; Must have a current American Heart Association BLS-HCPC recognition or a Greater Sacramento Region -Healthcare CPR certification. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BS preferred.
Knowledge:
Must have demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills and effective English written and communication skills. In depth knowledge of nursing process in assessment of physical and psychosocial, psychological needs of patients. Aware of adult learning principles in providing teaching of patients and families.
Experience:
Minimum of six (6) months acute care experience preferred.
Skills:
Independently practices and prioritize multiple demands in a ever-changing environment. Good interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and teamwork skills is required.
