McGraw-Hill Ryerson is one of Canada''s foremost publishers and distributors of educational products both print and non-print media.  Our technical innovations are changing the way people learn, with e-books, online tutoring, customized course Web sites and subscription services.

McGraw-Hill Ryerson is now accepting applications for the position of Marketing Manager in the Higher Education Division.  This is a 1 year contract with a tentative start date of May 1, 2012.

Responsibilities:

* To develop and implement marketing strategies and to manage marketing support functions to enable the department to attain sales goals.
* To continually analyze the marketplace to determine trends for new product development.
* Responsible for the creation and distribution of relevant product information in addition to information on competitive products.
* Develop and implement the divisional promotional plans.

Qualifications

* Minimum of 5 years combined sales and marketing experience in Higher Education publishing;
* Competent understanding of basic technologies and applications
* Solid understanding of all aspects marketing function, plus strong understanding of educational technology issues, products and trends;
* Exceptional people and communication skills.
* University Degree
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Detail oriented, high energy, self-starter
