Description:
This position will be in the Business Analysis division within
Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Transmission and
Distribution Business Unit (TDBU). The successful candidate will be
responsible for tracking, monitoring, analyzing and validating
outages. Specifically, the Grid Operations Analyst will
review and report the daily Area Outs interruptions using tools
such as the Outage Management System (OMS), Outage Database and
Reliability Metrics (ODRM) program and the Grid Operations Outage
Reporting database.
Typical responsibilities will include:
•Determining the disposition and categorizing non-reportable
outages, including researching and identifying the nature of outage
incidents and responding appropriately and in-line with established
Company policies.
•Reviewing Service Guarantee Standards (Standard #2) for
payouts.
•Research and correcting Transformer Load Management (TLM)
errors using the TLM Access program which requires requesting map
changes, map additions and completing Customer Service System (CSS)
transfers/updates.
•Assisting in updating accurate Storm data in the Storm
Summary Report and Spreadsheet.
•During emergency events the Analyst may play the role of
Assistant System Monitor, which may include working additional
hours.
•Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following
Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
•Performing other responsibilities and duties as
assigned.
Basic Qualification:
•Must have at least one year of experience gathering,
documenting and analyzing data and information.
Job Requirements:
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or
related field or an equivalent combination of education, training,
and experience.
•Demonstrated experience working with outages.
•Demonstrated experience researching and validating Service
Guarantees.
•Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and
assignments and coordinating activities to ensure timely
delivery.
•Demonstrated experience gathering, documenting and analyzing
data and information related to electrical circuitry.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Demonstrated experience working with CSS.
•Demonstrated experience working with Outage Management
Systems (OMS).
•Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Access.
•Demonstrated ability to follow Edison safety protocols and
safe work practices.
•Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across
relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance
customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately,
develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide
exceptional service to internal and external customers.
•Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning,
decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability
to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
•Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation,
leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to
effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
Preferences:
•Experience with DCMS, Outage Database and Reliability Metrics
(ODRM).
