Description:
This position will be in the Design Construction & Maintenance
(DC&M) division within Southern California Edison’s (SCE)
Transmission & Distribution Business Unit (TDBU). The
successful candidate will provide administrative support to the
Planning Department at the Ventura Service Center and interact
daily with management, staff, and external contacts.
Typical responsibilities will include:
•Scheduling and coordinating meetings, conference calls and
appointments, as well as preparing agendas and discussion materials
for such meetings.
•Coordinating and finalizing routine assignments to ensure
timely completion.
•Utilizing on-line and PC applications to enter and retrieve
data and update systems.
•Processing timekeeping data, expense reports and invoices as
needed.
•Reviewing and routing incoming and outgoing correspondence,
including following up where necessary.
•Maintaining office supplies.
•Making travel arrangements
•Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following
Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
•Performing other responsibilities and duties as
assigned.
Basic Qualification:
•Must have experience providing customer service in person and
over the phone.
Job Requirements:
•A combination of formal education, training, and experience
to gain knowledge, skills, and abilities generally equivalent to
those possessed by a high school graduate.
•Typically possesses three or more years of experience
performing thorough administrative, secretarial, and/or clerical
functions.
•Demonstrated experience filing, calendaring appointments,
coordinating, scheduling, and planning meetings and conference
calls.
•Demonstrated experience processing timekeeping data, reports
and invoices.
•Demonstrated experience researching, coordinating, and
finalizing moderately complex assignments.
•Demonstrated experience working in a multi-task environment,
taking direction from multiple staff with minimal
supervision.
•Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and make
sound decisions on routine matters.
•Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint.
•Demonstrated ability to follow Edison safety protocols and
safe work practices.
•Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across
relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance
customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately,
develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide
exceptional service to internal and external customers.
•Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning,
decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability
to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
•Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation,
leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to
effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
Preferences:
•Associate’s Degree.
•Experience with SAP
