DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONAL TAX
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director, International Tax, will manage the international tax compliance team and have responsibility for the completion of all required US tax compliance relating to international transactions and international tax planning.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and assume responsibility for technical review/preparation of over 300 US information reports for international entities (5471’s, 8858’s, 8865’s).
Manage and assume responsibility for the calculation of the Domestic Production Deduction and Subpart F.
Supervise calculation of US international tax attributes - earnings and profits, tax basis, tax pools, etc.
Manage and assume responsibility for technical review/preparation of Form 1118, including analysis around sourcing of income and allocation of expenses.
Manage and develop tax strategies which involve working in close partnership with various business groups, including Legal and Treasury to minimize the company’s overall tax liability.
Prepare responses to IRS IDR requests, and assist in managing tax audits.
Provide information to the tax accounting team on relevant issues impacting tax accounting and SOX issues.
Manage staff including establishing goals and objectives and leading the team to achieve those goals.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
At least 15 years of experience with public accounting firm or large multi-national corporation with progressive responsibilities in international tax compliance with extensive knowledge regarding FTC, Domestic Production Deduction, Subpart F, 5471s and 1118.
-10+ Years International Tax Experience required
-Form 5471 expertise required
CPA and or MS in Tax highly preferred
Proven people management and/or leadership experience.
Sound judgment and ability to provide recommendations toward the determination of policy and strategy.
Working knowledge of Excel and Word, with an aptitude for tax software and accounting systems.
