The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition Operations will lead the
team focused on our strategic University & Campus Relations
(U&CR) program, as well as operational teams supporting the
recruiting of internal and external talent, including the movement
of union/represented talent. These teams are integral
partners in building candidate relationships through efficient and
positive candidate experiences. Under the guidance of the
Senior Manager, these teams persistently work to create exceptional
stakeholder experiences.
Typical responsibilities will include:
•Leading three key teams:
•University and Campus Relations: Driving the strategic
planning and execution of SCE’s comprehensive university and
campus recruitment programs including: full time/new graduate,
internships, co-op, and high school development.
•Bids and Transfers: Providing strategic support and
consultation to hiring managers to create and drive strategies that
support the represented employee bids and transfers
process.
•Coordinators: Supporting stakeholders internally and
externally by providing consistent, efficient and friendly support
for everything from interview arrangements to new employee
on-boarding.
•Contributing to and/or leading process improvement activities
by attending strategic planning sessions and meetings,
collaborating with stakeholders, advising on options, costs and
return on investment, and providing talent and recruiting
information to inform the business talent strategy.
•Applying business and industry knowledge to inform and guide
long- and short-term hiring decisions.
•Consulting with senior leadership and Human Resources (HR)
colleagues to facilitate discussions regarding recruitment
coordination, U&CR, and represented employee bid and transfers
process strategies, ensuring that decisions adhere to corporate
guidelines and requirements.
•Creating a partnership with senior leaders to offer guidance
and advice on recruitment coordination, U&CR, and represented
employee bid and transfers related issues, including representing
senior manager at meetings.
•Providing leadership to professional staff including
coaching, counseling, training and development, salary
administration, selection and/or approval of selected personnel,
and disciplinary action.
•Creating and maintaining a safety conscious work environment
by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols
and safe work practices.
•Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
•Five years of experience leading a team.
•Experience with process improvement tools and techniques,
including leading a process improvement effort.
•Experience leading one of the following:
•A talent acquisition function including full lifecycle
recruiting
•A team supporting union hiring/bids and transfers
•A team of operational Human Resources staff.
Job Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational
Behavior or Management, or an equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience.
•A successful track record of creating and/or leading a
strategic program, such as University and Campus Relations, with a
focus on attracting, retaining and engaging diverse talent.
•Experience leading process improvement projects with a
tangible return on investment and/or measures of success which
demonstrated value to the business.
•Experience working with union Collective Bargaining
Agreements, such as IBEW and UWUA.
•Five years of experience managing or supervising an
organization or team with both operational and customer care
responsibilities with a reputation for integrating work across
relevant areas and developing the business and services to enhance
customer satisfaction and productivity.
•Experience leading a team including:
•Managing talent by selecting staff and managing employee
performance and development by conducting performance planning and
reviews, and coaching employees.
•Provide leadership and achieve results by motivating self and
others to overcome obstacles and build team cohesion.
•Prioritizing activities, delegating and monitoring the
progress of assignments, and holding employees accountable for
results.
•Experience in or familiarity with a regulated
environment.
•Ability to collaborate, negotiate, and or influence various
stakeholder groups to develop appropriate recruitment solutions for
the company.
•Ability to create and maintain a safety conscious work
environment.
•Ability to perform effective resource and project planning,
decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability
to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
•Must have strong ethics, influence and negotiation,
leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to
effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
