Description
This position is responsible for implementing all reactor head maintenance activities, including associated auxiliaries, in a safe, efficient manner. The work activities include pre-outage setup, outage maintenance work and post-outage breakdown. The Project Manager will serve as contract administrator for contractors, be responsible for safety, human performance, outage budget formulation and control of costs. This position will be responsible to maintain long range overhaul schedules for reactor head and associated auxiliary components.
This position develops related outage schedules for integration into plant refueling schedules. Provide specific technical input into work package planning and improves maintenance and operating procedures as needed. This position will stay abreast of industry experience to improve maintenance related performance, support other plant departments in resolving reactor head issues, and may be required to support other nuclear plant outages, as required. Responsible for supervision of department personnel consisting of supervisors, analyst, planners and technicians. Develop, review, and process work packages to help ensure safe, reliable plant operation.
Qualifications
BS in Engineering or Sciences preferred. Power plant experience including leadership may be substituted for BS degree. Power plant maintenance and overhaul experience is required. Reactor head outage supervisory experience is preferred. Strong problem solving skills will be beneficial.
