Description
Responsible for providing technical expertise in support of FPL Nuclear Plants. Specifically provides first responder technical support to emergent plant issues as a member of the Engineering Rapid Response Team (ERRT) with a primary focus toward diagnosis and resolution of rotating equipment concerns (pumps, motors, fans, compressors). Secondary focus includes resolution of mechanical piping, pipe support, heat exchanger, tank, and valve, and ventilation damper concerns. Broad based mechanical component and systems diagnostic/troubleshooting skills a must. Frequently responsible for coordinating and directing multi-discipline technical support to assist the Operations and Maintenance Departments with the satisfactory completion of surveillance and maintenance activities.
Responsible for generating and evaluating Condition Reports, preparation of CRN''s and Minor Engineering /Maintenance Support Packages as required in the performance duties. Performs advanced analytical evaluation and consultation for issues having a major impact on the Nuclear Power Plant site operations to include making recommendations to management for program / system / component reliability improvement. Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers. Performs special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor''s Degree in Engineering required; preferably Mechanical degree. Minimum of 12 years related experience. Experienced in rotating equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting and corrective action development. Incumbent will be required to participate in and maintain Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications as well as comply with the Fitness for Duty (FFD) Program requirements.
