Description
Work under minimal supervision. Provide project management and design services for distribution facilities as required. Provide reliable, cost effective designs. Must be proficient in all aspects of Distribution Design, and be knowledgeable of company distribution design policies. Responsible for effective customer negotiations and for performing assessments and conceptual design to meet customer needs and valid FPL requirements. Evaluate distribution system and reliability capability to support load and understand future impacts. Create layout of facilities for moderate complexity work requests. Coordinate with Sr. Engineer or Sr. Technical Specialist for layout of high complexity work requests. Ensure facility layout follows design standards and includes a resource estimate. Ensure cost-effective design. Ensure valid design and service required dates are met. Support of storm organization, which may require travel. May mentor lower level employees. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities and deadlines.
Generally requires three to five years of experience.
