Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- 1 or more years of experience required in customer liability claims
Equivalent Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree required
- More than 3 years of experience required in customer liability claims
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
- More than 3 years of experience in customer liability claims
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure while handling multiple responsibilities
- Knowledge of liability provisions of transportation contracts and related coverage laws
- Computer proficiency including usage of: Oracle, INFOPAC, Microsoft Office products
- Ability to navigate through various mainframe systems to perform transactions related to transportation and accounting processes
- Knowledge of customer liability claims
Problem solving skills
Knowledge of claim investigation techniques
Ability to interpret liability rules and regulations on rail carrier customer claim issues
Written and oral communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
