General Worker - Janitorial

Job description
Prepares cleaning and sanitizing agents to maintain cleanliness,
decontamination and sanitization of production areas, research areas, offices and laboratories
to meet the cGMP and company standards Transports supplies, gowning materials, trash and
hazardous waste to assigned areas.
Duties:
Perform all duties related to cleaning and decontamination of floors such as sweeping,
mopping, and buffing.
Clean and/or decontaminated (delete) windows, doors, vents, walls, ceiling, lockers,
bathrooms, stairwells, floors, cabinets, sinks, curtains, toilets, mirrors, counter tops, bio-safety
hoods, handrails, drains, equipment, cold rooms and warm room in classified and unclassified
areas.
Clean offices, lunchrooms, conference rooms, and stock supplies.
Prepare decontamination and cleaning solutions following BPR instructions.
Follow all cGMP and Safety rules.
Maintain housekeeping and department cleaning; document in on checklist according to
SOP.
Clean outside areas of buildings as needed.
Pickup supplies and clean gowns and restocks as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Your qualifications
Position Requirements:
Requires high school diploma or GED. Must be able to operate cleaning equipment and have
the general knowledge of janitorial and sterile techniques as related to the job. Must be able
to wear appropriate gowning and protective clothing as required in designated areas. Must be
able to work in + 5C,
30C, cold rooms and incubators. Must be able to follow directions,
written or verbal and be proficient in math. Must understand and comply with cGMP and
SOP
s associated with the job. Must be able to read and understand (delete) comprehend
English in order to understand written and verbal instructions, SOP
s, BPR
s, etc. Must have
acceptable attendance and performance. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and
overtime as required.
Physical Qualifications: See Occupational Demands and Physical Requirements Checklist
and Inrtek. Physical movements necessary: occasional to frequent lifting and carrying (up to
50 lb.) standing, walking, and reaching. Must be able to use cleaning and sanitizing agents or
gloves. Occasional pushing and pulling with assistance (up to 350 lb.), repetitive movement,
stooping, crouching, kneeling, climbing, and sitting. Department of Labor Physical Demands:
MEDIUM for daily, routine tasks and HEAVY for occasional tasks.
Machines, Tools and Materials Used: Normal cleaning equipment and supplies commonly
used in performing janitorial duties i.e. floor buffers, ladders, power vacuums, scrubbers,
industrial mops, sponges, brushes, carts, scissors, box cutter, and industrial cleaning
supplies. Selected duties require gloves, facemask and face shield.
