Description
The Retail Systems team within Amazon is looking for a passionate and Program Manager to be a part of its Selection Expansion program. The Selection Expansion program is tasked with automatically determining categories of products missing from the Amazon.com platform, to auto-identify sources for that product and to convert those products into buyable offerings on the website.
In this role you will work with the Selection Expansion technical team to refine our selection identification algorithms. In addition, you will interface directly with the Vendor Managers and Category leaders in Retail business teams to evangelize the product and drive adoption. This position involves regular communication with management on status, risks and operational program metrics. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will be strong on program management and will be comfortable in interacting with a number of technical and non-technical stakeholders. In addition, the ability to work backwards and think about the program from a customer perspective is crucial. This opportunity requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The successful candidate will find practical and simple solutions to complicated problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality. Basic Qualifications
- Fluency in English; excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelors degree
- Strong project/program management skills.
- Experience in building strong relationships with customers, troubleshooting issues and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA preferred
- Familiarity with retail business processes for category management would be a plus
- Experience in translating business needs into detailed feature requirements working with business and tech teams
