Job Description:
The main objectives of this position are the development and production support of wirebond processes, materials, and equipment required to produce microwave products and electronic assemblies.
This opening is for third shift.
The assignment includes working with engineering (process, product, quality, etc) and factory operations personnel (equipment operators and shop supervision) to produce microwave and electronic assemblies.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing materials and processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, and mechanical design analysis.
Evaluation of materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) will be required including interfacing with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Assembly processes supported involve manual and automated wirebond, plasma cleaning, and wirebond mechanical testing.
The opening is within the Microwave Automated Factory Team.
Required Skills:
* 4+ years working experience with AA degree, 8 years without AA degree.
* Demonstrated understanding of wirebond processes and equipment
* Demonstrated problem solving abilities
* Demonstrated wirebond equipment and process troubleshooting skills
* Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
* Demonstrated ability to work with a team and be a strong individual contributor
* Personal flexibility to support frequent off-shift and weekend overtime.
* Must be computer literate - proficient with Microsoft Operating Systems and MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Familiar with ESD
* Eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
* Design of Experiments training
* Statistical Process Control training
Required Education:
* Associates Degree in a technical field
* Will evaluate experience in field as a substitute for AA degree
