Job Description:
Work within a multi-disciplined team in the development of space and airborne optical sensors. Support the flow down and management of optical performance, including Line of Sight, Image Quality and Radiometric systems-level requirements. Participate in the development, technical evaluation, implementation and test of complex optical assemblies. Specify optical component and sub-assembly requirements and interface with supply chain management and suppliers. Develop assembly, alignment, integration and test plans and procedures, as well as data analysis software. Provide validation and verification that system requirements have been met. Make presentations both internally and before the customer. Work with an integrated mechanical, optical and operations team to achieve performance, cost, schedule and quality goals for the program. Contribute to multiple programs as technical resource in optical systems engineering, optical alignment, radiometry and calibration, optical STE, and/or optical project management specialties.
Required Skills:
* Must have a minimum of eight years of experience with a demonstrated ability to align, test, and troubleshoot multispectral refractive and reflective optical set-ups and systems.
* Must have experience with Space Hardware.
* Must be able to work in a team environment.
Desired Skills:
* Ability to develop, analyze, and verify optical systems.
* Alignment, evaluation, data collection and analysis for reflective and refractive multi-spectral imagers.
* Experience with interferometers and other optical measurement equipment. Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated leadership skills.
* Current SSBI.
Required Education:
* BS in Optics, Physics, or other science or engineering discipline
