Description
ITT Exelis, Information Systems is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our Albuquerque, NM office on a part-time basis, 32 hours per week.
May be responsible for the administration of areas such as: employee relations, employee recognition/awards, compensation, benefits, EEO, personnel records, and/or training and development. Works closely with and provides advice and counsel to managers on workforce challenges.
Coordinates employee transfers, status changes, new hire onboarding, and conducts exit interviews. Provides recommendations for corrective action and/or improving employee relations. Advises management in the formal discipline of employees in compliance with company policy.
Interprets and ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Performs recordkeeping tasks. May perform technical recruiter responsibilities as required. Required Experience: Position requires 2+ years of directly related experience with Bachelor''s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills.
Prior experience preferred:
- Responding to and resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Coaching supervisors and managers in performance management resolution.
- Partnering with managers and other support areas to solve workforce challenges.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and management.
A criminal background check will be required for this position and a US citizen is required in order to access the corporate facility.
