Basic Qualifications:

Must possess five or more years supervising experience; or five or more years performing work management.


Core Competencies:

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field, or the equivalent combination of formal education, training, and experience.

- Demonstrated experience with performance management, process development, and process improvement.

- Demonstrated experience collaborating and or leading cross functional teams and engaging with IT work groups.

- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic plans that have a small to moderate impact on the organization, and facilitating forums to capture the stakeholder requirements.

- Demonstrated leadership and resource planning experience including prioritizing activities, delegating and monitoring the progress of assignments, and holding employees accountable for results.

- Demonstrated ability to develop communications and organization change management plans.

- Demonstrated experience overseeing the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project or group performance.

- Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions that have considerable business impact on day-to-day operations.

- Demonstrated ability to manage talent and create effective teams by selecting and developing employees to fill talent gaps.

- Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

- Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, interpersonal skills, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.

- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.

Typical Responsibilities:

The Work Order Management Manager will report to the Division Support Manager within Solutions Delivery & Maintenance Group (SD&M)  in IT. This person will manage business support analysts and contractors and will also be responsible for but not limited to workforce planning, resource demand management and work as part of a Division Support Management Team in deciding assignments and resource allocation. He/She will provide business solutions for many of the IT SD&M group business needs including: work management processes and methodology, resource management, business process improvement, and general business support of Division Support. Typical responsibilites include: collecting and maintaining data on resource availability,  skills, preferences, and demand for project management resources; working closely with Human Resources to ensure skills inventory is

current for staff; attending strategic meetings ensuring current knowledge of upcoming assignments; operating Southern California Edison systems to facilitate and document incoming work assignments, e.g., roles, experience levels, service level agreement time lines, etc.; reviewing the current talent pool and recommending training programs as required; ensuring appropriate policies, practices and processes are in place and adhered to in support of the SDM; preparing periodic and event-driven management status reports/presentations; facilitating resolution and fostering communication across/within IT and business units; interfacing  with business units and internal work teams, and external vendors/consultants; maintaining a communication plan; providing organizational accomplishments in newsletters; performing Organization Change Management functions as necessary; creating and developing job requirements and responsibilities; working with corporate Human Resources Consultants in submitting and posting any new jobs and participate in interviews session as necessary; recommending and/or approving departmental policies and procedures and assisting in the development of department policies and procedures; developing business plans, objectives, and initiatives for the organization in alignment with business strategy and customer requirements; assisting in the development of initiatives for corporate strategic plans and objectives; managing employee performance and development by conducting performance planning and reviews, coaching employees, and carrying out disciplinary action when necessary; providing close direction or oversight of work performed and desired results; and performing other duties as assigned.
