Basic Qualifications:

Must have seven or more years experience in a corporate Human Resources organization.


Core Competencies:

- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or a related technical discipline or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and experience.

- Typically possesses five or more years of HR supervisory, HR project management or HR strategic consulting experience.

- Demontrated the ability to be influential and persuasive with clients concerning HR strategies and people systems.

- Demonstrated experience working effectively with Business Units executives and senior management to create people strategies which support Business Unit goals and objectives.

- Demonstrated experience working on cross-functional teams.

- Demonstrated experience with multiple clients consulting and/or managing projects of moderate scope and complexity, including independently identifying client needs and expectations, creating consulting contracts with clients to identify deliverables, timeline, scope, budget, resources, and communicating project status.

- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused, to appropriately identify and respond to client#s business needs and facilitate the presentation of recommendations.

- Demonstrated the ability to accurately analyze and interpret information in order to integrate people processes, systems, and technologies.

- Demonstrated the ability to interface effectively with clients, peers, contractors, and all levels of management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.

- Demonstrated experience working across multiple HR functional areas including a strong understanding of the HR delivery system.

- Demonstrated the ability to take initiative and accountability for results.

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Must be willing to travel to San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station, San Dimas and other field locations within Southern California Edison service territory

- Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

- Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.

- Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.


Comments:

Additional testing may be required as part of the selection process for this position. The work location will require extensive travel to San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station, San Dimas and other field locations within Southern California Edison service territory.


Preferences:

- Master Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or related technical discipline.

- SPHR certificate.

- Project Management certificate.


Typical Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of People Strategies by identifying, developing and overseeing implementation of Human Resource (HR) strategic solutions through Quick Response teams and/or functional HR organizations. Must effectively receive input from, and provide guidance and expertise to business leaders in creating and implementing people initiatives that link into and support the business strategies and goals. Typical responsibilities will include: providing strategic direction and management to cross-functional project teams and Quick Response teams; enabling client understanding of the value and impact that people management practices have on the effectiveness of the client organization; supporting and driving cultural transformation within the business units; routinely collaborating with, consulting and influencing the decisions of business unit senior leadership; establishing goals, negotiating, developing and managing major, high impact project plans directly aligned with business goals; diagnosing workforce planning analytics, forecasting future department impact, and creating innovative solutions to help the business unit acquire, build and retain a high performing workforce; effectively working in a matrixed environment, translating business needs into performance requirements and people initiatives; routinely working with top leadership of other departments and HR to ensure quality service and solutions; traveling to San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station, San Dimas and other field locations within Southern California Edison service territory; and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
