Description
Requires a Ph.D. in structural biology, molecular biology/biochemistry or crystallography. Experience in macromolecular crystallography is required and the prospective candidate should be able to work independently. Experience in cryoelectron microscopy is preferred for one of the positions. Research program involves protein purification and structure determination of macromolecules. The BNL Biology Department has excellent facilities for molecular and structural biology. State of the art x-ray diffraction data collection facilities are available at the BNL National Synchrotron Light Source. Under the direction of S. Swaminathan, Biology Department. BNL policy states that Research Associate appointments may be made to those who have received their doctoral degrees within the past five years.
