Description
Requires a Ph.D. in chemistry, possibly physics or materials science. Experience with kinetic spectroscopy, especially with lasers and/or accelerators desired, as is the ability to handle chemicals. Analytical thinking, analysis and mathematical of experimental data is also desired. The successful candidate would contribute to measurements of electron and exciton mobilities in conjugated polymers and relaxation processes in ionic liquids. Candidate would also assist with development of the ultrafast single shot detection system to improve its performance and especially its usability. Under the direction of J. Miller, Chemistry Department. BNL policy states that Research Associate appointments may be made to those who have received their doctoral degrees within the past five years.
