Description
Requirements Definition
* Draft design specifications and develop requirements for new systems, new system configurations, sub-systems, software and products in support of projects and programs.
* Prepare documentation of designs and requirements for new systems, new system configurations, sub-systems, software and products in support of projects and programs.
* Conduct design reviews of requirements implementation.
* Support customer proposal development with system definition and functional requirements.
* Provide prototype development of new systems, new system configurations, software and products.
Requirements Communication
* Communicate system requirements for systems, new system configurations, sub-systems, software and products both internally and externally with the customer.
* Participate in customer discussions to ensure understanding and communication of the optimal technical solution.
Qualifications
* Skillful ability to coordinate with engineering, sales, marketing, OEMs, and customers.
* Strong interpersonal skills, system level definition capabilities, and customer service skills.
* Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
* Works on problems of diverse to complex scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of variable factors.
* Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
* Uses independent judgment to ensure projects/assignments are completed accurately and on-time.
* Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
* May provide guidance to other technical positions.
*
BS/MS in EE, computer science, or related engineering degree. Graduate coursework is desirable.
*
8-12 years of experience in large scale integrated systems.
*
Experience with following technologies a plus: Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS, mySQL (or other SQL-based database), Linux device drivers, relational database design, C/C++.
