Description
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Finance, this position provides the necessary leadership to develop and maintain cost accounting standards, tools and reporting across the organization this includes, but is not limited to: software vendor selection and development, development of organizational cost accounting standards and definitions, and developing the integration of cost accounting principles into financial reporting and strategic planning. The individual in this position will serve as a resident cost accounting expert in providing direction to the health system as it relates to CHOPâ??s management and allocation of expenses. As such, the individual will be well versed on both cost accounting methodology and how it can be related to CHOP. This person will work closely with upper financial management in review and development of a cost accounting structure. This person will work closely with all entities and business units to ensure cost accounting principles are reported accurately and maintained appropriately.
