Eastman Kodak Company currently has an outstanding opportunity for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join the Eastman Gelatine Maintenance Group. You will have the opportunity to serve as part of a team of professionals delivering quality service to a variety of Kodaks worldwide entities, subsidiaries, and joint ventures.
Position Description:
* Primary role of the maintenance Planner/Scheduler is to improve work force efficiency by eliminating delays and obstacles through planning and coordination of labor, parts and machine availability.
* Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance work performed across the plant.
* Functions as liaison and/or coordinator, using effective communication with the operations, engineering and maintenance organizations for repair and construction work.
* Maintains appropriate data and information on work orders to enable analysis and reporting of results or work status.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plans and schedules Maintenance work across plant using an electronic work order system based on priority by: assigning work orders, monitoring status by being present on shop floor, recording status of work and parts availability in work order log, frequently communicating with production operations and interacting with night shift mechanics.
* For several shutdowns per year, plans and schedules work with a team consisting of mechanics, engineers and operations personnel, assure parts availability and monitors and communicates work status.
* Assures parts and/or materials stocked or purchased are available for work orders.
* Monitors status and communicates parts availability.
* Implements projects related to reliability or other maintenance improvement projects.
Minimum Requirements:
* High School Diploma
* Minimum 5 Years Experience in maintenance function in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to apply software skills to perform job duties and communicate (ex. Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, Project Planning software/tools, etc.)
* Proficient in using maintenance planning and scheduling processes/procedures consistent with Clemson Maintenance Excellence model
Desired Skills:
* Communication skills, both written and verbal
* Understanding of reliability concepts and practical application
* Reads prints, sketches and other forms of technical information
