Description
Sears Holdings Management Corporation provides corporate services to Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD) and its family of companies, including Sears Roebuck and Co. and Kmart Corporation.
Perform disciplined detail analysis of business needs and translates into requirements. Conducts cost/benefit analysis to determine feasibility of solutions and presents findings to the business clients. Work as a communication link between systems area, client community and vendor, both for information gathering and dissemination. Perform Quality Assurance/Testing functions as required. Manage small scale projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Uses disciplined approach to understand, define and document business and functional requirements. Uses tools to map processes and identify opportunities for improvement and streamlining.
2. Manages scope of business requirements keeping a focus on project benefits and delivery.
3. Assembles cross functional teams, facilitates meetings to define scope and requirements.
4. Partners with the business to analyze vendor products (hardware and software) determining associated costs, functionality, and benefits. Makes recommendations and prepares comparison analysis for corporate review.
5. Ability to support ongoing relationship with vendors and manage service level agreements.
6. Ability to manage small scale projects utilizing the system development lifecycle methodology.
7. Perform project cost benefit analysis, prepares economic justification assessment for capital projects.
8. Define request justification and gather system estimates for new initiatives working with the client and corresponding IT team(s).
9. Facilitate technical realization of functional design with the technical team.
10. Strong working knowledge of internal systems and external touch points.
11. Ability to create and execute test plans and test cases to ensure results are consistent with business requirements.
12. Participate in continual evaluation of industry trends and competitor practices.
13. Define and maintain policies and procedures specific to project assignments. May require defining and embedding new processes. Ensures completion of documentation in a timely manner.
14. Works with cross functional team to support existing production systems and implement new and enhanced systems in accordance with company strategic architecture.
15. Provides guidance and feedback to management and other team members to improve team department performance.
16. Establishes business process, methods and procedures for departmental work activities; identifies and resolves operational problems.
17. Assists in periodic system evaluation to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
18. Create and execute testing scripts
19. Analyze and test code functionality to ensure that it is defect free
20. Conduct system tests to ensure smooth integration
21. Tracking testing activities and complete daily reports
22. Partner with delivery team to resolve open issues and retest functionality
23. Work within an approved testing methodology, tracking functionality and defect cases
24. Involvement with technology forums and industry user groups
25. Ability to utilize standardized testing tools
26. Ability to follow approved testing methodology
27. Strong oral and written communication skills
28. Ability to work in a team environment
29. Ability to work in a fast paced exciting environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or Management, specialized computer systems training or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5-7 years experience in driving and documenting business requirements.
3. Strong ability to understand business needs and transform them into technical requirements.
4. Ability to manage multiple assignments with competing priorities.
5. Strong knowledge of system development methodology and disciplined approach to business analysis and quality assurance. Strong ability to analyze systems and diagram functional flows and processes.
6. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
8. Ability to work in a team environment
