Peopleclick Authoria has an immediate opening in our Raleigh location for a Sr. Software Development Engineer for our VMS business line. This position designs, develops, tests, debugs, and modifies software systems or enhancements to existing software. Works with other technical staff to understand and to develop resolution of software problems. Resolves customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. Analyzes client needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time, cost, and performance constraints. Works with product management and engineering staffs to determine product goals, specifications, and timelines. Writes system documentation, test plans, and release notes; participate in the development of software user manuals. Provides technical assistance to other departments through troubleshooting software issues.
Job Requirements
Senior-level position acts as technical or team leader, handles complex problems regularly, has wide latitude for independent judgment, and acts as consultant to middle management. Candidates should have advanced technical skills with ASP.Net and web related technologies. The position also requires strong SQL Server and .Net skills (preferably VB.Net). Minimum seven (7) years of software programming experience, including at least three (3) years of product design. Excellent knowledge of software development techniques. Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills. Effective communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good leadership skills.
