Description
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for safe operation of manufacturing equipment in mechanical shop
* Will be expected to conceptualize novel ideas and create design sketches
* Responsible in design, manufacturing and fabrication of parts in exotic materials
* Operationally competent in use of lathes, mills, grinders and other machine shop equipment
* Will be reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Will be expected to do Project Cost tracking which involves the design,construction, commissioning and/or operation of complex experimental units(worth up to several US$ mln), and/or executes experimental support to project team
Requirements:
* Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer
* Technical School Graduate Preferred
* Experience in machinist position operating CNC, mills, lathes, grinding, and sheet metal equipment
* Experience in CNC programming and set up of mills, lathes and other computer aided manufacturing devices
* Experience in maintenance of shop equipment and perform inspections of equipment and workspace
* Experience using precision measurement tools
