Prerequisites
BA or BS degree preferred, 2 years of pharmaceutical industry, healthcare related customer service (or equivalent) preferred.
Summary
This position will be responsible for providing support to the Patient Support Case Management function by coordinating operational logistics to enhance patient access to Celgene therapeutic products.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Manage and process workflow from various customer contact points to appropriate Patient Support Specialist or other appropriate resource.

2. Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls, e-mails and faxes to make sure that work is prioritized.

3. Understand and apply compliance measures consistent with Celgene business model including STEPS and RevAssist while focusing on assisting customers with quick simple service.

4. Provide consistent and timely follow through to Patient Support Specialist on issues that may arise in their district or region.

5. Triage incoming requests to appropriate internal resource (i.e. Patient Support Specialist, Customer Service, National Accounts, Field Sales, etc.).

6. Provide strong patient focused customer service; treat every patient or office with the utmost care and attentiveness.

7. Provide regional coverage to back-up Patient Support Specialists when traveling or out of the office.

8. Work closely with pharmacy partner to ensure priority cases are expedited and they have all required information.

9. Respond to questions and requests pertaining to:
Celgene Patient Support organization
Information about reimbursement for oncology products
Resources available for co-pay assistance
Medicare Part D education enrollment
S.T.E.P.S. or RevAssist programs
Patient Support Specialist activity

10. Provide case management support to Patient Support Specialist as needed.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

BS or BA preferred
2 years pharmaceutical industry experience (or equivalent)
Experienced customer focused professional
Strong Organizational Skills
Adaptable to changing roles and responsibilities
Intuitive sense of urgency regarding customers and cases
Multi-tasking and prioritization skills involving handling incoming calls, processing fax requests, and data entry
Initiative to solve problems and identify appropriate solutions in accordance with SOPs.
Attention to detail and superior follow-through.
Expert listening skills to triage customers quickly and efficiently.
Good empathetic listening skills in order to interact effectively with patients.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency required with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and other customer interaction systems.
Ability to work individually and in a team
