Summary
The Global Business Intelligence Manager will support the organization globally through detailed collection, thoughtful analysis and objective reporting of all relevant competitor and market information and developments within assigned therapeutic area(s).

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

For assigned therapeutic area(s), proactively leads the continuous tracking and reporting of competitor developments and market changes to internal stakeholders. Reports will include current or future implications to Celgene.

Liaises with key internal partners to proactively identify and develop key intelligence topics (KITs) and questions (KIQs) around competitor activities, pipeline compounds, new technologies, general market trends and regulatory and public policy actions relevant to assigned therapeutic areas.

Using internal and external resources, proactively collects, processes, reports and chronicles information and intelligence relevant to KITs and KIQs.

Given input from internal and external resources, proactively builds and updates therapeutic area landscapes and timelines.

For assigned therapeutic area(s), leads the preparations leading up to and facilitation of war games and scenario analysis workshops with cross-functional teams.

Synthesizes position papers analyzing, in detail, specific aspects of the competitive space for assigned therapeutic area(s) and particular relevance to the business.

Develops and leads a focused action plan for collecting competitor data, information and product materials pertaining to assigned therapeutic area(s) at conventions and congresses. Participates in cross-functional teams to process and analyze implications and impact of competitor activities and data.

Assists in building and maintaining an intelligence portal for the systematic collection and reporting of business intelligence to/from internal stakeholders. Works globally with regional colleagues to standardize collection methodologies and reporting formats.

The Manager will lead presentations/updates on assigned therapeutic areas to Commercial, Medical and Clinical Development, Regulatory, Discovery Science, Business Development, Legal and Executive Management.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

BS/BA, required. MBA, MS or other advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or for a vendor
is required.
At least 2 years of competitive intelligence, business intelligence, market research or product
marketing experience is required.
Oncology/Hematology market experience is required.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of business intelligence techniques and processes,
industry dynamics plus working knowledge of R&D and commercial functions is preferred.
Ability to demonstrate facilitation skills to conduct cross-functional war games and ability
to teach non-commercial partners.
Strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
Strong leaderships skills and emotional intelligence to manage cross-functional teams.
Initiative, can do attitude and willingness to drive change.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required including presentation experience to
all management levels.
Advanced PC skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel software.
Ability to travel as required (approximately 10%).
