Prerequisites
Advanced degree in health services research required, PhD preferred. Pharmaceutical industry experience and knowledge of R&D, Clinical, and Marketing. Pricing and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) experience required. Hematology therapeutic area experience preferred.
Summary
The Associate Director of Pricing and Market Access is responsible for supporting development and implementation of pricing, HEOR, and market access plans for the Hematology franchise in order to secure reimbursement, optimal pricing, and improve market access globally.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Support development and implementation of pricing, reimbursement, HEOR, and market
access plans for Hematology products.
Assist in defining the Hematology pricing, HEOR, and market access strategy.
Support the HEOR and PRO efforts to be included in Hematology clinical trials/study design
and clinical development plans for optimal pricing and reimbursement.
Conduct retrospective database analysis, epidemiological studies, and economic analyses
of clinical trials data to generate evidence to support market access for Hematology products.
Support the development of global Hematology economic models for optimal pricing and
market access.
Support the development of Hematology market access value dossiers, value messages,
value brochures, and market access tools to be used globally with payers.
Support development of payer relations and partnerships within the Hematology field /
advisory boards.
Horizon scan / P&R landscape on reimbursement policy developments, especially as related
to Hematology products.
Proactively monitor and shape future reimbursement policy as it relates to Celgenes
products.
Support Payer and Pricing Research & provide preliminary recommendations (unmet needs,
key value drivers, appropriate comparators, pricing scenarios, gap analysis, etc) for specific
Hematology products.
Represent P&MA and provide input on specific Hematology products to brand teams and
clinical teams.
Support the development of global publication and communication plan for Hematology
market access.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Advanced degree in health services research, health economics, economics, medicine, pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, psychometrics or a clinical discipline required.
Minimum of 6 years in the healthcare industry, including 4 years in pharmaceutical industry and minimum of 3 years experience in pricing and health economics / outcomes research. Previous experience in Hematology is also preferred.
Knowledge and hands on experience / specific training in health economics and health related quality of life, observational research methodology, cost-effectiveness studies, health technology assessment (HTA), economic modeling, patient reported outcomes and clinical trial design required.
Understanding of the pricing and reimbursement systems and innovative pricing models.
