Description

This position is responsible for researching and implementing new accounting pronouncements, documenting the Companys accounting position for new business transactions, and ensuring that current accounting practices are in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This individual is well versed in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements and is proficient with regard to the Companys accounting research tools. He/she will present relevant accounting research to senior management and will be responsible for ensuring the effective communication and roll-out of any implementation plans. This individual also reviews the annual U.S. GAAP checklist and makes recommendations for areas requiring further scrutiny. Position Requirements The Accounting Manager must have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 7-10 years work experience. This individual must also be a Certified Public Accountant. Preferred Qualifications Public accounting experience and/or technical accounting experience desired.
