Position Description:
NOTE: This position is contingent upon vacancy.

Job Description: Responsible for the operations and daily management of a Business Area contract. Works on problems exercising independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities of a department. Performs the personnel tasks of hiring, training and reviewing employee performance. Makes and approves decisions and authorizes their implementation.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

1. Manages all operations aspects of Program Activity including workforce management, cost management, schedule management, data management, proposal activity and other related operations activities.

2. Serves as principle liaison with current and prospective program customers.

3. Determines need and provides training for personnel to implement and complete projects as required.

4. Conducts various program meeting/reviews and participates in formal briefings to both company and customer management personnel.

5. Generates various reports/deliverables including monthly program status reports to the appropriate management personnel.

6. Supports Contracts Department in interpretation of contractual requirements to ensure compliance.

7. Anticipated travel (mostly domestic, some international), up to 50% of the time.

8. Performs other duties as required.

Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of ten years of related experience required and eight years of program management experience required. Applicant must have experience with Army tactical communications systems, and knowledge or experience working with Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM). Requires experience in Program Office operations management, budgeting, planning and preparation of reports and proposals. Ability to work with and leverage value centers (such as: contracts, human resources, finance/accounting, security, etc.). Must have strong capability in team building and personnel development and experience managing a geographically dispersed workforce. Knowledge of MIL Standards and DOD customers is required. Must have excellent communications skills.

Special Requirements: Project Management Professional (PMP) desired. Value Based Six Sigma (VBSS) certification a plus. As a contractor to the United States Department of Defense, applicant must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Applicant must have a United States Department of Defense security clearance at the Secret Level.
