Clinical Research Coordinator

Coordinate research initiatives for Bone Health Initiative within the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery including: recruitment of subjects, acquiring patient data, organizing follow up procedures and tests and maintenance of data bases for the project Fractures in Childhood and Adolescence: a Risk Factor for Decreased Peak Bone Mass. In addition, assistance will be required in the creation and approval of new study protocols including consent forms, flow diagrams, and database maintenance. Coordination with collaborators with Childrens and at other facilities will be needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Arranges study visits and provides instructions. Assists in identifying eligible subjects

Abstracts data from medical records and enters medical information/data onto protocol specific case report forms, study flow sheets and other required study forms. Prepares abstracted/coded data for computer processing/analysis
*
Processes specimens. Creates and performs QA/QC procedures
*
Develops worksheets/tools for collecting patient data, Assists with preparation of protocols, informed consents, amendments and other necessary documents for review by the IRB and sponsor
*
Attends investigator meetings
FTE status: FT-80
Requirements
*
Bachelors degree required, preferably in a related field, with 1-3 years experience in clinic research or- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Clinical Research Associate with increased responsibility; has been or is capable of performing the majority of Clinical Research Coordinator responsibilities.
