This position upholds the Lands End Brand Standards by ensuring all visual standards are executed and that all shop consultants and MCA staff are trained on how to properly execute and maintain the visual standards.
Supports the store management team with day-to-day financial and operational goals and requirements
Acts as a role model by generating sales through the use of approved consultative selling practices to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
Ensures all visual brand standards are upheld throughout the shop
Executes all floor resets on-time and ensures that all visual elements are compliant with the brand standards
Updates displays and floor sets as needed in response to business (i.e. change out display due to product sell-thru, seasonal transition, etc.)
Trains all new shop consultants and MCA staff on the visual merchandising expectations of the shop and how they can utilize the visual elements to drive sales; shares sales goals (ADS, UPT, Direct Sales)
Facilitates all visual merchandising continuing training for the shop as directed, this includes consultants and MCA staff
Required to spend time on selling floor observing consultant behaviors, specific to visual presentation, and provide timely feedback on strengths and areas of opportunities
Provides in-the moment coaching through the use of Product Clinic Coaching Cards and other provided tools that focus on upholding Lands End brand standards
Ensures all product is represented on the selling floor
Manage opening staff (7 AM 10 AM)
Ensure selling floor is recovered during set time periods (afternoon, evening) or as needed
Share visual and merchandising updates with shop staff on a regular basis (i.e. information shared via the LE Newsletter, 1-Minute Meeting, Action Planner, etc.)
Maintains Lands End visual storage area, which includes display elements and signage.
Maintains visual supply list and partners with Operations Coach on reorder process
Leads by example when out on the selling floor, engaging customers in conversations that create great customer experiences and drive sales
Partners with the Shop Coach on all floor moves, including any changes made to displays.
Perform ad-hoc duties as directed by the Shop Coach
Strong Candidates will have:
Proven skills in driving sales growth through customer service, visual presentation and or staff development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong merchandise presentation skills and ability to direct others
Demonstrated ability to coach, provide feedback and manage substandard performance
Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate
Previous leadership experience, preferably in visual merchandising, in a specialty retail setting strongly preferred
Availability and flexibility to work varied hours to support the needs of the business
