Description
The Employee in this position is responsible for the overall supervision, scheduling and coordinating of all Greensboro Facilities moves. Provides leadership and overall direction for all aspects of space planning from initial conception through final signoff completion.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
* Plans detailed design layouts and specifications for new and existing office space taking into account factors such as business unit needs, staff interactions, cost constraints and overall facility space plan goals
* Establishes cost estimates for long and short-range facilities projects by utilizing basic knowledge of engineering, architectural and design concepts
* Synchronizes the timing and construction of offices, installation of furniture, and the relocation of personnel
* Develop bid specifications, meets with contractors, reviews bids or estimates and makes recommendation to business units for the facility modifications or improvements.
* Inspects projects to ensure compliance with approved drawings, plans, applicable codes, regulations and standards
* Carries out responsibilities in accordance with all company policies, procedures, safety rules, state, federal and local laws
* Manages and maintains inventory of office furniture and cubicle components available for possible future reconfiguration uses
* Creates and maintains facility space as-built drawing plans
* Directs building maintenance staff in services and other accommodations necessary to accomplish relocations for customers
* Reviews space concerns and needs from business units and reports findings and proposes corrective action to Facilities Director
* Produce high quality work with attention to detail and customer satisfaction
* Maintains awareness of evolving product designs, energy management, building and safety codes
* Maintains project files, project status reports, correspondence and activity logs
* Maintains spare key storage area and distributes duplicate keys for equipment as needed
* Responsible for maintaining square footage of each business area for rent chargeback spreadsheet record
* Maintains records for all project activities and costs
* Performs related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Required job knowledge and skills:
* Working knowledge and ability to create cost estimate, develop bid specs and review estimates.
* Use of AutoCAD software or the ability to quickly learn.
* Good understanding of how processes interact to meet the needs of customers.
* Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
* Good understanding of systems/technology being utilized
* Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong working knowledge of PC and desktop applications
* General understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
* Ability to multi-task with strong prioritization skills
* Ability to work within the guidelines of company policies, procedures, safety rules, state, federal and local laws
* Strong math and accounting knowledge
* Project Management skills and process improvement skills
Qualifications or previous experience:
* Bachelors degree required
* Basic AutoCAD knowledge and experience
* 2-3 years of business experience and/or Customer Service knowledge preferred
* Excellent oral and written communications skills.
* Superior interpersonal skills required for developing strong internal customer relationships and fostering strong team support.
* Basic knowledge of engineering, architectural and design concepts
* Must demonstrate self-motivation and be able to perform under pressure in a fast paced environment
